If you like wooden wall letters...in ANY font you want, you need a scoll saw. I was going to buy 4 letters for Elle at $18.00 a piece so Rob said he we might as well buy the saw for $80.00. So, when we just cut out jane's letters, I consider them free!

Pantry Makeover

I hope you all have really talented sisters who will drop everything in your time of need.
I have been stressing about my pantry for months now (because I couldnt figure out how to organize it) and then I became desperate when we had a "wheat beetle" problem. We had to throw everything out, so it kind of forced me to decide how to organize. My sister Mir came to my rescue and emailed me this pantry organization chart. (above) emailed her a picture of our empty pantry and this is what she came up with!
I printed out my new guide and took it to multiple containter stores. I am not completely finished, and my version does vary from the original (because Mir has never actually even seen my pantry in person) but here is what I have so far:
These containers are the "POP" containers by OXO. You can find them at William Sonoma, the container store, and BB &Beyond. They have changed my life. Ok, maybe not, but I feel like they have. This is my favorite little section (though the cous cous is a little out of place right now) I am hoping to add marshmallows and coconut...but Rob told me I have to slow down with the containter buying.

any Pettiskirt experts?
I have been waiting and waiting until I felt like my girls were big enought to make this kind of a purchase worth it...but now, I dont know which to buy?ok...you have Kaiya Eve, Belle Ame, Ally Girl, and Oopsy Daisy...and then a whole bunch of "pagaent" petties for super cheap.
Does anyone know which is the best? What are the differences by the way?
I'm just getting excited for my girly girls to sport these skirts around town!
I LOVE this picture...and Allison has more of this session here

Just when you thought shoes couldnt get cuter...
Ok...I AM IN LOVE! I love love love these new designer baby shoes! Foxpaws are the new designer shoes hitting the best stores...and guess what, another great Utah based company! I am so excited I can hardly stand it (partly because I know and love Tanna and Cara, 2 of the 3 Fox girls of foxpaws) but mostly because they really are adorable!
They are all leather, rubber soles, hand painted...
And super stylish!!!
They have 2 great boy shoes, but with all the cute girl styles Im really excited to be having another girl! Yeah! You can get them at babinski right now or find out how to order online. I have an inside scoop about a new spring style...and lets just say they wont disappoint!!!9.11.2008
My first wipe case!

I guess Im sort of a "plain jane" sort of girl. There are SO many baby crafts out there...and most of which, I dont feel like I need. When I first saw this I knew it was something worth having! I have a wipe case in my diaper bag, church bag, car, and purse. I usually just throw in a couple diapers when I go somewhere. Anyway, my friend Kristin sells them and hers are beautiful. (you can find them here)
I convinced her to teach me...so here is my first one!

Make my day!
One of the hardest things about moving from Philly, was the plethora of Janie & Jacks in the area. I came to San Antonio knowing that there wasnt one here, but there is one in Austin an hour away. I even wrote them and asked if they would be getting one here...I got an automated response saying they appreciate how much I love the store, shop online.WELL, today I went to the North Star Mall today...and guess what, they opened one LAST WEEK! Hooray!
Because it is so new, they didnt have Fabulous sales like they normally do...but I am just happy to have them around!

Pink Pancakes!

You have all heard of (or seen) this cookbook before, how could you not notice it. It is adorable! (which is the very reason I brought it home) Of course, once I took a peek inside...I was a little less interested. Make vegetable purees and keep them in your freezer. That is SO not like me. But, since I live in a new place, and dont know a ton of people yet...I am doing a lot of things that aren't totally like me. So, I made beet puree...and tried out the my first recipe: pink pancakes.

They turned out great...and were super easy. Of course I didnt have ricotta, so I used yogurt. I didnt have apples, so I used apple juice...and they were fine. The kids had no idea, and gobbled them up. Rob ate a couple...and his only suggestion to make sure the purees are chunk free. So, it was like making fortified pancakes.

I love my market tote...
About a month ago, I was walking through TJ Maxx and came across a whole bunch of these market totes in an array of colors. I had to picked one up for a friend's birthday...and then had to grab a couple colors for myself. They have endless uses (not including the market, because I havent tried that yet!) I put one in between the kids carseats with toys, books & snacks, I use one to cart things up and down stairs, I put primary stuff in it for church, I leave one collapsed in the car to take in all the stuff after an outing, picnics, a quick clean-up clutter, craft basket, etc. Now...they are only $9.99 at TJ's and 35.00 at Sur La Table You may want to check out TJ's first
